The Netgear WPN824 simply connects to the modem supplied to you by your cable broadband provider (Virgin Media most likely), to share your broadband. It is compatible with both PC and Mac computers, and also with the Xbox 360, Playstation 3, Nintendo Wii, Nintendo DS and the PSP. Want to connect a computer to it with a cable? No problem - the Netgear WPN824 has 4 Ethernet ports, so in addition to connecting as many devices as you like wirelessly, you can connect up to 4 devices using Ethernet cables.
The Netgear WPN111 simply plugs into the external USB port. Gain full mobility with your notebook, or place your desktop anywhere in your home, without the need for unsightly cables.
NETGEARs RangeMax extends your wireless network coverage up to 10 times that of standard 802.11g due to an advanced Smart MIMO (Multi-In, Multi-Out) technology that incorporates seven intelligent internal antennas in a wireless router. The antennas continuously scan your home or office, automatically sensing obstacles and electronic interference, then dynamically adjust the wireless signal to compensate and maintain a clear connection.
Now you can quickly send large files typical of digital photos, music formats, and high-quality movie streams across the network wirelessly, without the cost and effort of running new wiring!
